Talking about Windows Live Mail

Quote

Windows Live Mail is very good for a collaboration platform.  The "Look and feel," and function of MS Esxchange 2003 with Mobile integration is really a thrill ride.  All market segments with strong web architectures, and those planning such deployments will welcome this addition.

Which Linux variant best suites you?

    Linux On the Move
Linux forges ahead while integrating with mixed server farms and desktops.  Are you comfortable with your Linux desktop?  Which Linux Distro do you use at work and at home?  My favorite Linux Distros are LinSpire, Mandriva Linux 10.2!  What is your favorite Distro?

What I like most about my favorite Linux Distros are their ability to use CrossOver's emulation software to load Windows applications and programs on top of Linux.  So really we can have the best of both worlds: Linux and Windows co-existing on the same machine while improving productivity and extending functionality.

Another thing I like about my Linux versions is the ease with which you can configure networking.  Networking with Linux is as smooth as installing the OS, and you have more choices when choosing a flexible file system for your purpose.  Some of the file systems available to you on Mandriva Linux are; XFS, JFS, ext2, ext3, Linux Native file format, etc.

I am also a GUI freak!  I can't deny that.  Linux graphic capabilities are awesome.  Verbose mode is even more powerful but the latest versions of Linux give you just as much flexibility as well.  Finally, the cost or TCO for Linux is fast becoming lower than Windows and which can no longer be ignored as a viable alternative for todays information system infrastructures.

Here are a few links to learn more  about popular Linux Distros:
  1. RedHat's Fedora Core
  2. mandriva (formerly Mandrake)
  3. LinSpire (formerly Lindows and one of the easiest windows XP and Mac OSX like OS )
  4. Ubuntu
  5. Xandros
  6. Slack ware
  7. PC-BSD
  8. Knoppix
  9. SME Server
  10. Slamd64
  11. Solaris
  12. Frugalware
  13. T2
  14. Vine (Oldest most popular Japanese Linux)
  15. SUSE
  16. Debian
